Gold Coin United organization announced about signing 4 League of Legends players. They are Colin «Solo» Earnest, Lucas «Santorin» Larsen, Kim «FeniX» Jae-hun and Oh «Rikara» Sam.

Lucas «Santorin» Larsen joined Team SoloMid at the end of 2014. With Santorin’s assistance, the team managed to win North America LCS Spring Split 2015 and passed qualifiers to World Championship 2015. In World Championship Team, SoloMid took the latest place in group D. After a sequence of failures, Santorin decided to leave the team. Later, a player was a member of such teams as Team Huma and Ember.

Kim «FeniX» Jae-hun joined Team Liquid in 2014, substituting Joedat «Voyboy» Esfahani who left the team and quitted the career of professional esportsman. In 2015, Team Liquid managed to take 3rd place in North America LCS Spring Split 2015 and North America LCS Summer Split 2015 play-offs, however, did not manage to qualify to World Championship 2015. In the end of 2015, three players left the team.

Colin «Solo» Earnest has been trying to join North America LCS for a year. He has the experience of playing for famous teams such as Cloud9 Tempest, Team Ember and Team Liquid Academy.

Gold Coin United bought NRG eSports’ slot in Challenger Series on December 12, 2016. That day, the owner of the organization also announced the coached of the team. Choi "Locodoco" Yoon-sub took this position. Previously, he played with Santorin and FeniX.
